American Red Cross- Babysitting Certification
This course is a fun and fast-paced two day program with hands-on activities, exciting video, role-plays and lively discussions. Boys & Girls ages 11 to 15 learn child-care, first aid, leadership and communication skills such as supervising children and infants, perform basic care routines such as diapering, feeding and dressing infants and children, choosing safe, age-appropriate games and toys, identifying safety hazards and preventing injuries, communicating effectively with parents, finding and interviewing for babysitting jobs.

- PROGRAM DATES: second Friday & Saturday of the month (ongoing)

- TIME: Friday evening 5-8 p.m. and Saturday 9-TBD approx 1 p.m.

- AGES: 11 yrs old and older at the time of class (NO EXCEPTIONS)

- COST: $50 Bedford Residents, $60 Non-Residents

- The class fee includes: Babysitter’s Training Handbook, Emergency Reference Guide and CD-ROM for babysitters to use in the class and on the job and Certification after completing the two day program (you MUST attending both days to become certified).

- Deadline for registration is two weeks prior to program date due to equipment needs, so register early.
